Hello! My name is Mrs. Haines and I am going to be your First Grade teacher this year! This year is going to be my 6th year teaching and I can happily say that all of those years have been in First Grade, at Prairie School! I loving teaching and watching little minds shape and mold into wonderful little readers, writers, mathematicians, and so much more! I take pride in what I do because I have a very important job. I am one of the architects of our future generation of America. My favorite thing in the world is being able to watch that light turn on when a student learns a new concept! Which is the reason why I love what I do each day!
I graduated with a Bachelors Degree at Simpson University in 2012 and my Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis on Curriculum and Instruction in 2015. I then decided to continue my education and received my Preliminary Administrative Credential in 2016.
I am married to my best friend of 12 years and we have a two phenomenal boys ages 8 and 2 years old. They are the center of my world and the loves of my life!
In a nutshell, I have always loved kids, and teaching has been my dream career since I was 5 years old! I like to say I have been teaching since then, as I would teach my stuffed animals as well as my nieces and nephews in my "classroom" in my childhood home. I am easy to talk to and love parent volunteers! Thank you in advance for making this a great year!
